A study in mankind.

I honestly think I have never met a species more self-destructive than human beings.

Left to himself, he will create a perfect living environment, doing everything it takes to make himself and his fellow man comfortable; and with equal gusto, set about creating chaos within the very system he created.

Because insecurity attacks without warning. There is no fight in human history, big or small, that has come about without one man unnecessarily poking his nose in another's affairs.

This, to me, is interesting; not because of the obvious messy end, but because this rarely happens when one is content with one's state of being. Because he is looking for reassurance that the rest of the world is leading an as messed up existence as he is.

Man needs assurance of mutual misery in order to find happiness.

The irony is almost poetic.

This, dear reader, is the reason I wholeheartedly agree with the person who said, 'The only sure sign of intelligence out there in the universe is that they haven't attempted to contact us yet".
